Church of the Resurrection is part of the Diocese of East Tennessee, but we are also very much part of the larger worldwide Anglican Communion.
In 2019, Mother Amy was part of a diocesan delegation visiting the Diocese of Kondoa, Tanzania, in order to build relationships, lead a pre-ordination retreat, and participate in the first ordination of women to the priesthood in Tanzania. We continue to support the Diocese of Kondoa from afar with both prayer and monetary gifts to support ministry and education in Kondoa.
We also contribute yearly to the Diocese of Jerusalem, and to Episcopal Relief and Development. In 2021, we also connected with Bethlehem Ministries, a school and community aid organization in Haiti, founded by an Episcopal priest.
We believe in being in relationship and service with our neighbors, here in Loudon County, in the United States, and also around the world. Learning and growing with our neighbors is part of re-membering the body of Christ all around the world. We are stronger together than we are apart, and we each have much to teach each other, in the name of Jesus Christ.
