As couples prepare for their wedding, our aim is to help and lend support, encouragement, and affirmation during the preparatory time and at the time of the marriage. The anticipation of a wedding is such a delightful time. The focus is on the future, a new kind of future for the couple, their families and their extended families. We love weddings, and are happy to talk to you about yours.

Resurrection receives many requests to rent or use our Church and Parish Hall and our grounds for weddings and receptions. We love our beautiful spaces, too, but Resurrection believes that our first duty concerning weddings is to uphold the sacramental character of marriage and the reality that a wedding is a worship service of the church.

While our facilities are not “for rent”, there is no membership requirement to be married at Resurrection; each wedding is performed at the discretion of, and under the direction of the Rector. If you are interested in having your wedding here at Church of the Resurrection, you may contact us to speak with our Rector about your needs, and she will be happy to sit down with you and talk through them.

We do require pre-wedding counseling (either with our Rector, or another minister or licensed counselor), so don’t wait until the last minute to be in touch with us. Wedding dates are not set or confirmed until you have spoken to the Rector, she has agreed to perform the service, and you have paid your (refundable) deposit, so contact us before deciding on your perfect date.
