The Bible, with its 66 books, 1,189 chapters, and hundreds of thousands of words, shares one extraordinary message: God loves us!

The Church of the Resurrection is fortunate to have a small group of parishioners who meet weekly to discuss the Bible. We'd love to have you join us.

Attendance for each study (and each week) varies. We meet for one hour on Wednesday mornings, either in our Parish Hall or via Zoom, and the group participants decide on the meeting time by consensus.

Course lengths vary by book length but usually run 10-20 sessions, with a week off for occasions like Ash Wednesday, Holy Week, Thanksgiving, or Christmas.

For each study, the objectives are:

  • To provide you with a firm foundation and understanding of each Bible book.
  • Study each book's historical background, word definitions, and explanatory notes.
  • To help you grasp the message of the book as a whole.
  • To teach you how to let God's word transform you into Christ's image.
  • To acquire personal study skills that you can use to examine other books in the Bible.

Winter-Spring 2025

In this topical Bible study, we will examine each fruit of the Spirit one session at a time in the order Paul presents them. Each session focuses on one fruit of the Spirit and uses a key passage of scripture to assist us with understanding the characteristics and how to apply them in everyday life.
