Search Committee
The Search Committee is a vestry-appointed committee of the Parish charged to conduct a thorough, thoughtful and prayerful search and evaluation of qualified candidates for the position of Rector of The Episcopal Church of the Resurrection. The selection and call of a rector is the most important decision the vestry can make; therefore, the Vestry charges the Search Committee to conduct this search on behalf of our congregation for as long as is required for the successful completion of this charge by presenting one candidate.
The Committee’s responsibilities include:
- Listening to and understanding the needs and hopes of our congregation.
- Developing the qualities and qualifications we seek in our next Rector.
- Identifying, reviewing, and evaluating qualified candidates.
- Conducting interviews and other appropriate steps.
- Maintaining confidentiality and treating all candidates with respect.
- Presenting one qualified candidate to the Vestry for consideration and call.
The Committee will serve until its charge is successfully completed.
