Serving Our Parish Family

Daughters of the King are Christian women, both lay and ordained, who are strengthened through the discipline of a Rule of Life, and supported through the companionship of our sisters. We are all at different stages of our Christian journey – some have just begun and some have been on this path for a long time. But no matter where we are on our sacred journeys, our primary goal is the same – to know Jesus Christ and to make Him known to others. Learn more and request a prayer.

Our Petal Pushers ministry delivers beautiful bouquets arranged every week by members of our flower guild from that Sunday's altar flowers.
We deliver flowers to members of our congregation who are shut in, having birthdays or anniversaries, and anyone we think can use a cheerful boost.  It’s the happiest of ministries and everyone loves the beautiful vases artfully arranged with flowers that had previously graced the Lord's table.

The ministry of caring is at the heart of life at Resurrection. The Pastoral Care committee helps our clergy care for members of the congregation in need of extra pastoral support:

• Meals for the ill, suffering, homebound, or grieving
• Lay Eucharistic Visitors taking communion to those who are homebound
• Extra visits, cards, and practical assistance for those in long-term care

The committee members are focused on taking care of whatever needs arise, especially during the harder times of life, helping parishioners feel remembered, supported, and connected to our church community.

Lay Eucharistic Visitors (LEVs) bring the wider church community and the sacrament directly to hospitals, nursing homes, or private homes for those who are unable to be present with the gathered community.

LEVs are invited to serve in this ministry by their rector, priest-in-charge, or in the absence of clergy, the person responsible for pastoral oversight in the congregation.  If you feel called to serve as an LEV, contact your clergy or person charged with pastoral oversight, to let them know of your interest. LEVs are licensed by the bishop and work under the direction of their parish clergy.  You must be a confirmed communicant in good standing to apply to be an LEV.
