Our Paper Bag Pageant began around 1990 as a joyful outreach to adults with intellectual disabilities who participate in Adult Community Training in our area. It has become a beloved Christmas tradition for our guests and our congregation alike.

We warmly welcome our guests into the Parish Hall, share a delicious dinner, and then the fun begins! Simple costumes are passed out in paper bags, and before long, stars, wise men, angels, animals, Mary, and Joseph are ready to tell the Christmas story. The story is narrated and accompanied by favorite Christmas carols.

After the pageant, Santa arrives with gifts lovingly chosen and purchased by members of our congregation from each guest’s wish list.
This touching evening is filled with laughter, music, friendship, and the joy of giving. Many in our congregation say, “This is Christmas for us.” We hope you’ll join us in making this special evening a celebration of love and community.
