Dear Friends of Grace Point,

We are ramping up for Camp at Grace Point in 2023!

2022 was a wonderful year at Grace Point Camp & Retreat Center as we welcomed many children, youth and adults who experienced this wonderful resource of the Diocese of East Tennessee. Isn’t it a wonderful reality that every member of our diocese is part owner of lake front property? If you haven’t been to this beautiful and well-maintained place of respite and renewal, please schedule a time for a visit – you are always welcome.

Two years past the major upheaval which COVID-19 brought upon our camping community, 2022 was a banner year for summer camp. Over 300 children and youth attended camp last summer. Guided by a dedicated and loving staff and dozens of adult clergy and lay volunteers from around the diocese, our young people were invited to nurture their journey with Christ in a community and surrounding that is both engaging and supportive. Many first-time campers were welcomed and are excited to be back again in 2023. Plans for this summer are being made and posted on our website at www.gracepointcamp.org and we look for yet another year of joy and peace being celebrated at Grace Point.

2022 also brought physical changes to our campus with the addition of a ropes course activity called the Flying Squirrel. And of course, the work on our Retreat Village has been an exciting project to follow and groups are starting to use the cabins that are completed. These comfortable cabins with private baths and the adjoining retreat center are just the addition needed to move us more fully into our site as a retreat center. The village is expected to be fully completed by early Spring with five cabins available starting in January.

We invite you to make a contribution to the ministry of Grace Point Camp & Retreat Center and we welcome you as partners in ministry. In 2022, roughly one-third of our campers attended on full scholarship, with all of our outreach campers being fully supported. Your gifts to Grace Point matter.

Please make a contribution either by check or by using this online giving portal.  If you have questions about giving to Grace Point or about the ministry being done there, please call the Rev. Brad Jones at 865 803-8921 or by email at bjones@dioet.org.

Thank you for your support and prayers and come see what’s happening at your camp & retreat center!

Peace,

The Reverend Brad Jones
